Richard "Dick" Bloom, 87, of St. Cloud, formerly of Willmar, died Saturday, July 13, 2024, at his home in St. Cloud. His Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar and will be streamed at https://www.ourlivingwater.org/dickbloom.html. Interment with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Willmar Public Schools Foundation to be used for school supplies. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, www.hafh.org.
Area youth partake in STEM summer camp
Last week, area youth had the opportunity to partake in a week-long camp dedicated to teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) core concepts and principles. Camp Invention took place at the Buffalo Middle School from July 8 - 12, where classrooms were turned into studios and laboratories that stimulated the creative imaginations and sharpened the minds of these young inventors.

ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The Stearns County Sheriff's Office at the St. Cloud Police Department are asking for your help in finding a missing teenager. Sixteen-year-old Grisedia Gomez was last seen in St. Cloud on May 25th. She is a Hispanic girl, 5'4" tall, 200 pounds, with black hair, and brown eyes, and her front teeth are framed in gold.
