Rep. Perryman Second St. Cloud Legislator To Receive MPPOA Endorsement
(KNSI) – St. Cloud legislators on both sides of the aisle are well-liked by the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association. Representative Dan Wolgamott of the DFL announced his endorsement from the organization earlier this week. His Republican counterpart in District 14A next door, Bernie Perryman, has also received the group’s approval.

Second COP House Planned for St. Cloud’s Southeast Side
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The plan to create St. Cloud's second Community Outpost is moving forward. On Monday night the city council is expected to approve a renovation agreement for the city-owned building at 10-10 Park in southeast St. Cloud. MnDOT crews prepare for Interstate 94 Gap project

CLOUD — The Minnesota Department of Transportation is excited to announce the start of the three-year expansion of Interstate 94 between Albertville and Monticello, known as the I-94 Gap project, on Monday, July 22. This year, crews will prepare the work zone, which includes temporary lane widening and median crossovers. St. Cloud man arrested for allegedly aiming loaded gun at teens
(St. Cloud, MN) -- A St. Cloud man is facing felony assault charges for allegedly pointing a loaded handgun at two teenagers Sunday night. The criminal complaint says 41-year-old Corey Self initially pointed a green laser at the 14 and 17-year-olds from an apartment window. The kids told police they approached the window and asked Self to stop, when he opened the blinds and pointed a black handgun at them. Officers searched the apartment and found a green laser and loaded 9-millimeter handgun. A preliminary breath test showed Self had a blood alcohol level of point-179.

Baseball: Former St. Cloud State Pitcher Ethan Lanthier was selected in the MLB Draft on Tuesday. The New York Mets selected the former Husky in the 12th round of the draft. Lanthier spent two seasons with SCSU (2022-23) and earned an All-NSIC first team nod in his first season. He pitched over 68 innings during his time for the Huskies, sporting a 3.67 ERA. Lanthier transferred up to division one baseball last season, pitching for the Kansas Jayhawks.
