Multiple fights break out overnight during sold-out event at River Center
BATON ROUGE —- Multiple fights broke out at the Baton Rouge River Center in downtown during a sold out event Friday night into Saturday morning. Baton Rouge Police officers responded to the first call around 12:50 a.m. on Aug. 31, 2024 for fights at the River Center. Paramedics also responded to the scene to treat injured attendees and transport some to an area hospital. Calls for help at the River Center lasted till at least 1:30 a.m., according to sources.
