SALAMANCA, NY — It’s not often that two teams combine for more runs than hits, but that is what happened Sunday night in Salamanca. The Oilers were dominated by the Lizards, who scored more runs than the Oilers had base runners. With a total of eight base runners for the entire game, the Oilers fell to the Lizards 11-1. Port Allegany Woman Charged in Portville Assault
A Port Allegany woman was charged after an alleged attack in Portville on Tuesday. New York State Police charged 25-year-old Elizabeth M Holiday with assault and criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use. Holiday was held pending arraignment.

Police reports 7/13/24
Thursday, 7 p.m., Dennis P. Kranock, 43, of Franklinville, was charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony; second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree criminal trespass, class A misdemeanors. The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Cuba Police Department. Kranock was transported to Allegiant County Jail and held pending further court proceedings.

HINSDALE — Main Street Park in Hinsdale was filled with people on Saturday, all gathered to witness the unveiling and dedication of the town’s new Vietnam War memorial. The memorial now stands as a forever symbol of recognition for those who served the United States during the Vietnam conflict. Hinsdale Historical Society President Stephen Clute cited the poor treatment of Vietnam veterans in the direct aftermath of the war in Southeast Asia as one of the most crucial reasons as to why it was so important for the town to acknowledge the sacrifices of those that fought.
