Allegany Man Arrested on Probation Violation Warrant
(WNY News Now) – Allegany, NY – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Matthew J. Amore, 48, on a Violation of Probation Warrant. Matthew J. Amore was taken into custody on July 2, 2024, at approximately 2:30 PM at 171 W Main St, Allegany, NY. The arrest was executed by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, following a warrant for a probation violation under CPL 410.40.

Warrant Arrest in Randolph: Olean Man Taken Into Custody
(WNY News Now) – Randolph – In a routine warrant arrest, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a 42-year-old Olean resident. Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Christopher T. Cline, 42, of Olean, New York, on July 9, 2024. The arrest took place at 4:15 PM at 269 Main St. in Randolph, NY.
Frederick E. “Fred” Dannheim, 86, Wellsville
Frederick E. “Fred” Dannheim, 86, was called home on Wednesday (July 10, 2024) at Wellsville Manor Care in Wellsville following a lengthy illness. Mr. Dannheim was born on November 19, 1938 in Wellsville to Edward and Beatrice (Ellsworth) Dannheim. He was the stepson of Walter Babbit. Fred was a 1959 graduate of Wellsville Central School. He served in the United States Army for four years before joining the United States Air Force for an additional four years. Later, he served in the United States Army Reserves where he retired after 24 years. While serving in the reserves, Fred also worked at Dresser Rand as a tool dresser, retiring after more than 40 years. On July 4, 1973, he married the love of his life, Sally “Sara” Anne Reisman Case, who survives.

St. Bonaventure Master's Nursing Students Get Invaluable Experience at Trauma I Center
Students in the Master’s Entry to Practice (MEP) nursing program at St. Bonaventure University had an experience this summer they won’t soon forget. Seven MEP students completed a 55-hour clinical immersion at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania, a Trauma I center and part of the Guthrie Healthcare System. The clinical experience was a component of two MEP summer courses: Critical Client Nursing Care and Obstetrical Nursing Care.

I've always had a deep love for libraries. I remember the excitement every time our family walked into a library, thrilled by all the books. When I was hired by the Olean Public Library, it felt both surreal and serendipitous. I was going to be the real-life Belle and skate around on ladders putting books away! However, it turned out to be quite the opposite. While I do work with books, I have found that the real focus is working with the community.
