Salamanca Man Arrested for DWAI Drugs in Traffic Stop
(WNY News Now) – Salamanca – A routine traffic stop in Salamanca led to the arrest of a local man on multiple charges, including driving while impaired by drugs. On July 4, 2024, Nicholas Hyden, 23, of Salamanca, was taken into custody following a traffic stop on Center Street in Salamanca. Patrol officers observed vehicle and traffic violations, prompting them to initiate the stop.
The “Dude” Open
The Dude Open is held at Cardinal Hills Golf Course in Randolph, NY and invites players in multiple divisions with a 10:00am shotgun start. Della Moore: Local Cultural Icon
With so much talk about octogenarians in the news, please meet an Olean gal by the name of Della Moore, an 85-year-old bundle of energy whom I defy you to keep up with. Della, although not a native of Olean, moved here from Philadelphia with her husband, Jimmy Moore and her son and daughter in 1972, in her mid-thirties, to find a better life for her family and to be with her husband’s Olean family. Although she was close to her own parents, Robert Lee and Opense Patten, her Aunt Gladys and three sisters, a brother and a niece who was like a sister, she never hesitated and immediately adopted Olean as her home.

According to Olean police, 34-year-old Allan M Miller was charged with felony weapon possession and assault, as well as misdemeanor criminal mischief and reckless endangerment, among other misdemeanors. Burglary Charges for Franklinville Man
An investigation conducted by the Cuba Police Department has led to burglary charges for a Franklinville man. 43-year-old Dennis P Kranock was charged Thursday with felony burglary, as well as misdemeanor criminal contempt and trespass. Kranock was transported to the Allegany County Jail and held pending further court proceedings.
Warrant Arrest in Cold Spring Leads to Detention of Salamanca Resident
(WNY News Now) – Cold Spring, NY – In a swift action by local authorities, a Salamanca woman was apprehended following a warrant execution in the Town of Cold Spring. On July 5, 2024, at approximately 11:18 AM, deputies arrested Lindsey D. Little, 33, of Salamanca, NY. The arrest occurred on Railroad Ave. after an investigation confirmed that Little had an active bench warrant issued by the City of Salamanca Court. Following the arrest, deputies transported Little to the City of Salamanca Police Department, where she awaits further court proceedings.
