Oklahoma Selected by Georgetown University for The Youth in Custody Certificate Program
OKLAHOMA CITY, JULY 23, 2024 —The Georgetown Center for Juvenile Justice Reform selected Oklahoma as one of only four jurisdictions from across the country to participate in The Youth in Custody Certificate Program. The program aims to assist juvenile justice leaders in implementing, or accelerating, systemic change to enhance outcomes for youth in custody. Joining Oklahoma in this prestigious program are Multnomah County in Oregon, the city of Newport News in Virginia, and the State of Rhode Island.
Chick-fil-A Is Testing Traditional Cut French Fries
Introduced in 1985, waffle fries have since become Chick-fil-A’s most ordered item, being the only fast food chain that serves waffle fries. The shape of these crispy delicacies gives customers “more dipping power for their buck.” McDonald’s tried to get on the waffle fry bandwagon in 2023, briefly testing waffle fries but the salty side was never added as a permanent menu item. It’s hard to imagine Chick-fil-A offering any other type of fry, right? Chick-fil-A is shaking things up by testing a new fry shape that could make its way to the fast food chain's permanent menu: the good ol’ traditional cut french fries.
