Cleveland School referendum calls for tax increase to fund programming, avert severe budget cuts
After years of juggling a dwindling savings account and a growing number of expenses, Cleveland Public School District is asking taxpayers for a levy increase to help pay for its staff and programs. Come November, district residents will cast their ballots on a referendum question asking voters to increase the school’s operating levy by $750 per student. ST. PETER SUPERINTENDENT RESIGNS
Superintendent Bill Gronseth has resigned his position as Superintendent of St. Peter Public Schools. Without specifics, Gronseth announced Wednesday that he had accepted a position in another school district. Middle School Principal Jon Graff will serve as acting superintendent while the school board works with the Minnesota School Board Association to find an interim superintendent. Gronseth will remain with St. Peter schools through the end of July.
