FIRST WARN FORECAST: Heat Advisory through Monday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The intense heat continues through tomorrow with Heat Advisories in place through 8 p.m. Monday. The heat index will reach the triple digits with actual temperatures flirting with the triple digits in several locations. The heat continues as the 90s are forecasted through Thursday. A first warn is in place Tuesday as showers and storms roll through the area. Some storms could be on the strong to severe side. By Thursday, another first warn is in place as a front moves through bringing showers and storms for the evening hours. Right now, there is not a severe risk associated with this system. Behind the front temperatures dive into the 80s and even the 70s are possible by Sunday! The rain chance continues through the weekend, but no day looks like a washout.

LIBERTY, Mo. (KCTV) - A man caught leaving a Liberty construction site with stolen equipment has been charged after an early morning traffic stop led to his arrest. Clay County, Missouri, Circuit Court records indicate that on Thursday, Aug. 22, Scott A. Bilquist, 37, of Gladstone, was arrested and charged with stealing after he was caught leaving a construction site at Vintage Lane and Buckingham Drive.
