Man caught in Washington with nearly 1 pound of meth charged
Three years after he was arrested in Washington, allegedly in possession of nearly a pound of methamphetamine, a St. Peters man has been charged with felony drug trafficking. On July 17, 2021, a Warren County sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a motorcycle on Highway 47 in Marthasville. The driver did not stop, instead fleeing over the Missouri River bridge. The pursuit was soon terminated in Washington.
Pressure builds at St. Clair City Hall
St. Clair officials say the clock is ticking to fill two key positions in the city government and avoid the risk of paralyzing city operations and hampering projects. At Monday’s Board of Aldermen meeting, City Administrator John Lippert said it has been two weeks since the city received any applications for city clerk, a position which has been vacant since the May departure of Dana Collins-Messex. Midas Construction Tops Off 227-Unit Luxury Apartment Complex in Ellisville, Missouri
ELLISVILLE, MO. — Midas Construction has topped off MILA Apartments in Ellisville, a far west suburb of St. Louis. The four-story, 227-unit luxury apartment complex is slated for completion in summer 2025. Midas Hospitality and Balke Brown are developing the project with affiliates Double Eagle Development and Diamond Income Fund. Designed by Rosemann & Associates, the property will feature a 141,000-square-foot parking garage. There will be eight floor plans ranging in size from 552 to 1,363 square feet. Firefighters were busy Tuesday as heavy storms rolled through the area causing extensive damage. The National Weather Service placed the area on flood watch at 9:30 a.m. and issued a flash flood warning at 12:30 p.m. The agency also issued a tornado warning around 11:30 a.m., and reported a tornado northwest of Treloar around 11:34 a.m. The Missourian weather gauge recorded 3.65 inches of rain during Tuesday’s downpour.
