Stuart Tanks Roll Again…WWII Weekend in Berwick
BERWICK – Embracing the grit, resilience, and the American spirit, Berwick is set to host its annual World War II Weekend. This event, a tribute to the town’s rich history, will take place from Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Riverfront Park. That area is “The Test Track,” where tanks were tested before shipping off to war.

LVEP Golf Tournament Raises Money for College Scholarships
The Lebanon Valley Education Partnership (LVEP), a collaboration between Lebanon Valley College and the Lebanon Student District, celebrated its 35th annual golf tournament at Fairview Golf Course on June 28, netting nearly $40,000 after expenses. Every dollar raised goes directly to funding scholarships that create access to a Lebanon Valley College education for talented students from the Lebanon School District who are part of this unique, community-led mentoring program.
RR Crossing Project to Begin in Snydertown Borough
– Motorists who travel Market Street (Route 4005) in Snydertown Borough, Northumberland County, are advised that a railroad crossing project begins next week. Beginning Sunday, July 21, 2024, Market Street will be closed between Camp Road and Furman Road, while the contractor, CTW, installs a custom tub-style rail / highway crossing across the road.

Swim beach at Blue Marsh Lake closed
Swimmers are being told to stay clear of the water at Dry Brooks Day Use Area at Blue Marsh Lake. According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, water samples taken Thursday show high levels of E. coli bacteria. The swim beach will remain closed until bacteria levels return to a safe level for public use.
