ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (WTRF) — Fun was had by all during the St. Clairsville Patriotic Bike Parade.

Kids had the opportunity to show off their red, white and blue as they rode up and down Main Street.

For those who didn’t have a ride, free bikes and accessories were provided.

Mayor Kathryn Thalman says this is one of the best ways to bring the community together to celebrate the 4 th of July.

“This is one of my favorite parts of being mayor, is presiding over the kids’ bike parade on Main Street. We shut the street down as you can see. Kids bring their bicycles, scooters and their wagons.”

Kathryn Thalman, Mayor of St. Clairsville

“I try to help out as much as I can, plus I got to dress up and everything, so it makes for an even better day. And we get to give away all these bikes to these kids.”

    Cameron Davis, Bike parade judge

“This is the fourth year we’ve been giving the bikes away during the bike parade, and each year it gets bigger.”

Greg Clark, St. Clairsville police officer

Officer Clark says there’s no better way to celebrate the upcoming holiday than with parents and grandparents sharing a fun day with their kids.
