Ohio Valley hotel teams up with Belmont County Animal Shelter for Pet Adoption Day

BELMONT COUNTY, OHIO (WTRF) – One area hotel is teaming up with the Belmont County Animal Shelter to help some furry friends find their forever home.

Candlewood Suites, just outside the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville, hosted a Pet Adoption Day earlier this afternoon.

There were several adorable animals on hand just looking for someone special to take them home.

They collected a number of donations including supplies such as blankets and towels, cleaning supplies and toys.

“Everything that we get donated, the money is allotted to the county shelter, from the county, can go to pay the vet bills. So the more food and supplies we have donated, then we have more money to spend on vet bills and spay and neuter.”

“I have two animals myself and we are a pet friendly hotel and I would love for fur-babies to find their forever home.”

One of the furry friends looking for a family today was this girl. Astin is a Black Lab / Retriever mix. She is friendly and playful, unfortunately Astin did not find her forever home today so she is still looking for that special family to call her own.
