Statewide Missing Person Alert For 17-Year-Old Minnesota Girl
Sartell, MN (KROC-AM News) - A statewide alert has been issued for a missing Minnesota teenager. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says 17-year-old Kaydence Johnson has been missing for 30 days and is now considered and endangered missing person. The alert says she and another teenage girl ran away from a residence in the City of Sartell on June 22.
Dead body found in Sauk Rapids park
(Sauk Rapids, MN) -- Authorities in Benton County are investigating the death of a man in Sauk Rapids. Officers say the man's body was discovered Sunday morning in Lions Park. The report says the Sauk Rapids Police Department requested help from the Minnesota B-C-A "due to the location of the deceased." The medical examiner will identify the man and his cause of death. Lions Park and the splash pad were closed Sunday during the investigation.
15 train cars derail near Big Lake
(Big Lake, MN) -- No one was injured when a train derailed in Sherburne County early Saturday morning. Fifteen cars carrying consumer goods came off the track near Big Lake around 3:15 a.m. The derailment caused disruptions to train schedules over the weekend as freight trains were rerouted around the site. As a result, Northstar had to cancel a train that was supposed to bring fans from Big Lake to Minneapolis to watch the Twins game. Crews worked throughout the weekend to clear the site and resume normal operations.
