Changes to traffic on US-30 improvement project in Columbus
Weather permitting, starting Wednesday in Columbus, the north leg of the intersection of 18th Avenue and U.S. Highway 30 will reopen to traffic. Also on Wednesday, the north leg of 23rd Avenue and US-30 will be closed to traffic. The north leg of Pershing Road and US-30 will remain closed.

The Columbus Cornerstone Seniors dropped a 5-2 decision on the road against Lincoln North Star last night. The game, which had been scheduled for Pawnee Park last Tuesday before being postponed by rain, was played at Sherman Field. Columbus catcher Carter Renteria was 1-for-2 with a triple and 2 RBI, which cut North Star’s lead to 3-2 in the top of the sixth. I am a 66 year old lady who was involved in a very serious car accident in September 2019. Since then I have first been in Physical Therapy and then moved on into a Wellness Program at the Boone County Health Center, our local hospital, in Albion, NE. Today when I was walking in to exercise I noticed a small something on the bench just outside the hospital doors.
