Pedestrian river bridge connecting North Side, northeast Minneapolis draws excitement
The long-discussed prospect of a pedestrian bridge connecting north and northeast Minneapolis over the Mississippi River is finally in the works and it has residents buzzing. Parking can be an issue for people in certain areas. Having to make sure the meter is fed, or you get the dreaded parking ticket. Honestly, I struggle with the concept a bit. I understand businesses in downtown areas can’t have someone leave their car in front of their business all day and make it hard for folks who want to shop there. But at the same time, the business chose to be there, and the city or town recruited them there. It sort of seems like the customer is left holding the bag.

North Minneapolis nonprofit Appetite for Change publishes cookbook
After a hard day at work, what Princess Titus wanted most was to “feed her heart,” which, at the time, craved fried chicken and hot sauce. But when they met, she told them there had been a change of plans. Instead of cooking food together, Titus told them to take her credit card and “go across the street and get 50 wings from Hooks.”
