McCormick Park in St. Helens appears to be adapting well to 13 Nights on the River, as the summer concert series runs through Thursday, Aug. 29.

Hitting the stage today, Thursday, July 25, is Catherine Loyer & Strawberry Roan.

According to Loyer’s website, “Catherine has a high energy show and plays rockin’ and heartfelt songs.” The band has opened for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Rodney Atkins, Colt Ford and Daryl Whorley.

McCormick Park is the temporary home for the event due to ongoing construction along the Columbia River waterfront.

The concert series continues each Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to be comfortable on the grass. Limited park bench seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For a full listing of events throughout the remainder of the concert series, visit www.sthelensoregon.gov and search “Our Community” for local events.
