Frederick County Fair pageants are this Sunday
CLEAR BROOK — The Miss Frederick County Fair Pageant will be held Sunday, July 28, at the Frederick County Fairgrounds on the South Lawn stage. Baby Miss (ages 2-3) is at noon, Tiny Miss (ages 4-6) is at 12:30 p.m., Little Miss (ages 7-9) is at 1:30 p.m., Pre-Teen Miss is at 2:15 p.m., followed by the Junior and Miss Pageant which are held at the same time at 6 p.m., the winner of which will receive a $1,000 scholarship as well as expenses paid to a trip to the Miss Virginia Association of Fairs Pageant held in Williamsburg in January.

Mark Alan Burkholder, 67, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Born April 24, 1957 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of the late John B. Burkholder and Miriam B. Burkholder. Mark was a member of Greenvillage Church of God for many years. Mark was employed by Greencastle Metal Works for over 20 years and most recently enjoying retirement.
