Franklin County borough mayor enacts burn ban for next 3 weeks
A burn ban is in effect for Chambersburg until late July, according to a release from Mayor Kenneth Hock and the Chambersburg Police Department. The burn ban, which is in effect until July 22, came at the recommendation of Chambersburg fire chief and EMS director Dustin Ulrich due to “drier than normal temperatures” and a lack of rain in the forecast, the police report said.

Raised by his grandparents Paul R. Simmons Sr. And Mary Frances; preceded in death by Paul. R Simmons Jr. his father. He leaves behind his son, Reginald Lee Lynn Simmons (26) of Hedgesville, Emmy Fitzwater-Falcon (26) of Bunker Hill who he considered his daughter and his girlfriend Kristy Ferguson of 11 years, of Hedgesville, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends he considered family. He was a hard working kind, caring and compassionate man who will be missed by many. This is a see you later because we know it is not goodbye. There will be no services at this time.
