WILMINGTON — Suzanne Towles Blackman passed on July 12, 2024 surrounded by her family at Heritage Greens Arboretum in Greensboro, NC. Born April 20, 1931 in Wilmington NC, Suzanne (Susie) was the daughter of the late LeRoy Chowning Towles and Isabel Grandstaff Towles. She grew up in Wilmington, NC until moving to High Point with her husband, Louie Alton Blackman, Jr. in 1970.

WILMINGTON — Kathaleen “Kathy” Jones Mintz, 67, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024, with her family by her side. Kathy was born on October 22, 1956 in Tampa Florida to the late C.B. Jones and Beulah Garner Jones. She grew up in Wilmington, NC and graduated from New Hanover High School. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved spending time with them. She took on many hobbies such as cake decorating, flower arranging and painting. She also found great joy being outside and working in her yard.

She attended Maxton High School, Flora MacDonald College, and later obtained her master’s degree from Georgia State University.
