Life Enrichment Center project showcases members’ stories
The Life Enrichment Center at Oyster Bay has released “Silver Threads,” a compilation of the life stories and experiences of dozens of its members. This unique anthology, born out of a desire to celebrate the rich histories and wisdom of local seniors, is the culmination of years of dedication and collaboration among members, staff and volunteers.
Village museum looking for former academy students
The Sea Cliff Village Museum is reaching out to former students of Harold Ransom Stevenson and his wife Alma Gallanos Stevenson, renowned artists and founders of the Stevenson Academy of Traditional Painting. The museum is preparing for a September exhibit titled “Harold Ransom Stevenson: An American Realist in Sea Cliff” and is keen to include stories, artwork, and memorabilia from those who studied under the Stevensons.

The Bristal All-Stars, softball players in their 80’s and 90’s who play two doubleheaders a week in the New York Senior Softball Association (NYSSA) held their annual All-Star game at Cangtiague Park in Hicksville. The players who range in age from 80 to 93, and reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens commemorated the 55h anniversary of the 1969 World Series between the New York Mets and the Baltimore Orioles.

EastLine Theatre will present Mary Chase's whimsical Pulitzer Prize winner, Harvey, about a man and his imaginary friend, a six foot tall rabbit, next month at the BACCA Arts Center in Lindenhurst.
