Mary Tyler Moore's former Greenwich house sees $2 million price reduction
After hitting the market last September for $21.9 million, the former house of actor Mary Tyler Moore has taken another price cut this month. Last week, the price of home belonging to the "Ordinary People" actor was cut down by $2 million— down to $16.9 million, according to Zillow records. In April, the price of the property was cut by $3 million — down to $18.9 million at the time.

The Bristal All-Stars, softball players in their 80’s and 90’s who play two doubleheaders a week in the New York Senior Softball Association (NYSSA) held their annual All-Star game at Cangtiague Park in Hicksville. The players who range in age from 80 to 93, and reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens commemorated the 55h anniversary of the 1969 World Series between the New York Mets and the Baltimore Orioles.
Microburst likely caused damage in Stratford: mayor's office
Several trees and branches came down during storms on Wednesday in Stratford and the mayor’s office said a microburst appears to have caused the damage. "Yesterday's weather event caused an incredible amount downed trees, limbs, branches, and debris. The area of Stratford between and around Huntington Road and Nichols Avenue felt the brunt of the storm, which the National Weather Service confirmed was likely a microburst,” the mayor’s office said in a statement.

Mosquitoes Test Positive for West Nile Virus in Greenwich
The State of Connecticut Mosquito Management Program has confirmed that mosquitoes trapped near the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center in Old Greenwich have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). These are the first positive cases identified in Greenwich this year by the Connecticut Agriculture Experiment Station (CAES). Along with Greenwich, WNV-positive mosquito pools have also been detected in Darien, Norwalk, New Canaan, New Haven, and Stamford.
