Fort Wayne's Voices of Unity Youth Choir named champion of gospel at World Choir Games
Fort Wayne's Voices of Unity Youth Choir earned the title of world champion of gospel after singing through a global competition in Auckland, New Zealand. The Fort Wayne-based music group scored higher than any other choir in the World Choir Games’ gospel category, according to the World Choir Games website. The announcement was made Friday.

Jazzworks! provides musical background to TRF fireworks finale
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Things will be getting jazzy at the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory Saturday night. Jazzworks! at the Botanical Conservatory will feature the sounds of local jazz musicians Saturday before offering a view of the Three Rivers Festival fireworks finale. Twelve Parkview nurses receive DAISY Award
Twelve Parkview Health nurses were recognized this spring by The DAISY Foundation for extraordinary nursing. The DAISY Foundation was founded in memory of Patrick Barnes, a 33-year-old man who spent eight weeks in a hospital being treated for an autoimmune disorder. During his stay, Barnes received excellent nursing care, and, in his memory, his family created The DAISY Foundation to honor nurses who go above and beyond for their patients.
