CROWN POINT — A Lake Criminal Court jury rendered a verdict of guilty on all counts for a Gary man who shot his brother in the chest three years ago. The jury found Michael Smith, 66, guilty of attempted murder, aggravated battery, domestic battery resulting in serious bodily injury and domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon, court records show.
