Last year, Eastern Washington University unveiled plans to revamp campus housing. One residence hall, Morrison, was demolished last summer; another, Dryden, is slated for the same fate this winter. Hey EWU, where’s the Pride in that?
Editor’s note: Nearly one year ago, we started digging into the case of what happened to Vanessa Delgado, a key official in Eastern Washington University’s Multicultural and Pride Centers. We followed along as there was exodus of employees from those departments that followed Delgado’s termination and subsequent nondisclosure clause in her severance letter that prevented her from speaking about her experience and spoke with students who feared for the future of DEI at the university as it undertook a Strategic Resource Allocation process. Recently, Judy Rohrer, a professor at EWU, came to us with an op-ed that we feel is an important update to the saga.
'Big-Play V.A' is lighting up CFL
It was just 10 years ago that Vernon Adams Jr. was skittering around the red turf at Roos Field at Eastern Washington University making a name for himself. As the head mechanic of the Eagles’ high-powered offensive engine, Adams helped lead the Eagles to three consecutive Big Sky Conference championships and as many Football Championship Subdivision semifinal playoff appearances.

An undergraduate student who earns 12 quality hours (QHRS) and receives a GPA of 3.5 or better is placed on the Dean's List. City Council increases pool budget by about $500,000
CHENEY – The City Council approved spending an additional $464,750 plus tax on the planned municipal aquatics center. The total allocation, previously $11.4 million, now nears $12 million. The decision on the increased allocation came after discussions about six proposed additions from Walker Construction, the contractor on the project.
