$38 million Ponte Vedra Beach restoration project completed 2 months ahead of schedule
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – St. Johns County has completed the $38.6 million Ponte Vedra Beach Restoration Project two months ahead of schedule. The project was originally on track to be completed by mid-August. The contractor used two dredges to speed up progress so it could be completed by the end of June.
JTA working to bring new cafe to its Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla
A new breakfast and lunch option may be on the way to LaVilla after a July 2 action by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority board. On a 4-0 vote with three members absent, the board authorized JTA staff to negotiate a lease agreement with Grounds of Grace/Cinotti’s Bakery to open a cafe on the first floor of Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla.

Delta Apparel files for bankruptcy; to sell 28-store Salt Life brand
Delta Apparel, a wholesale clothing manufacturer based outside of Atlanta, has filed for bankruptcy amid higher costs and declining demand. Prior to filing, Delta entered into an asset purchase agreement to sell its ocean-inspired lifestyle apparel and accessories retail brand Salt Life to FCM Saltwater Holdings Inc. for $28 million in cash. Upon bankruptcy court approval FCM is expected to be designated as the “stalking horse” bidder in connection with the sale of the Saltwater brand.
New coffee shop on a mission opening in Murray Hill
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Lifework Leadership is launching its second brick-and-mortar coffee shop location. The new Cup of Jōb Community Café will open its doors to the public this weekend in Murray Hill.
