    Saint Johnsville man charged with threatening judge

    JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Edward McGowan, 28, of Saint Johnsville. McGowan was charged with aggravated harassment of a judge, an offense that was recently passed into law on July 19, according to the sheriff’s office.

    McGowan is accused of threatening to physically attack a judge on July 21 at the Fulton County Centralized Arraignment Court in Johnstown. He allegedly threatened the judge after being arraigned for charges stemming from a separate domestic violence incident.

    McGowan is currently in jail in connection to the initial violence case. He is scheduled to appear at the City of Johnstown Court at a later date.
