127th Air Refueling Group temporarily relocates to Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport
K.I. SAWYER, Mich. (WLUC) - You might see increased activity at Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport. That’s because the 127th Wing is in the area. That team is based out of Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Lower Michigan’s Harrison Township. The team is in town as runway repairs are being performed at Selfridge. The airport will serve as the base for four KC-135 Stratotankers, with two other aircraft functioning as transient shuttles.

A total of twenty-four teams, representing numerous youth leagues and organizations from around the area, made the trek to battle the bracket, ending their summer by taking home a championship trophy.
