ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Nearly 18 months after millions of Americans watched him suffer a cardiac arrest on the field during a Monday Night Football game, Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin visited cardiac patients in St. Louis Wednesday.

Hamlin was at St Luke's Hospital Wednesday to visit cardiac patients -- and share some love for the hospital's doctors and nurses.

Damar says his recovery has been amazing -- year one was full of emotions, but during year two, he says, he is more focused and ready to accomplish his goals.

"I'm getting ready to be back to accomplish those," said Hamlin to KMOX.

But for now, he's touring the country and visiting with cardiac patients and helping promote and share information about a new program he's involved in with the healthcare company Abbott -- called the Abbott Heart Mates program.

Abbott's Heart Mates program brings together individuals impacted by cardiovascular events to discuss their shared experiences and receive support.
