ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police say a man broke into a Dutchtown business last week and stole copper wiring and a check worth $21,900.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the burglary took place on June 27 at Neighbors Exterior Solutions in the 4700 block of Virginia Avenue.

Officers responded to a burglary in progress and met with the owner, who told police he had surveillance video showing Jason J. Collins, 41, taking copper wire from a trailer and then breaking into his establishment and stealing the check.
