ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones has formally announced endorsements for Congresswoman Cori Bush and Missouri Governor candidate Crystal Quade, among others, for the upcoming primary election.

The primary election is set for Aug. 6, 2024. Voters will have the opportunity to select candidates of certain parties and affiliations to run for Missouri-based and St. Louis-based political offices.

According to an email from the mayor’s office, Jones has endorsed the following incumbents and candidates:

    • Cori Bush (Democrat) for Missouri’s 1st Congressional District.
    • Crystal Quade (Democrat) for Missouri Governor.
    • Karla May (Democrat) for Missouri U.S. Senate.
    • Adam Layne for City of St. Louis Treasurer.
    • Alfred Montgomery for St. Louis City Sheriff.
    • Marty Joe Murray Jr. for Missouri House, District 78.

“These candidates represent the bright future our city and state can achieve with the right leaders and dedicated public servants in office,” said Jones via the email.

For candidates who advance past the primary election to the general election, they will also appear on ballots on Nov. 5, 2024.
