ST. LOUIS - (KMOX) A last minute set back for Christopher Dunn who should have been released from prison this (Wednesday) evening.

That was the order of St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Jason Sengheiser. But less than an hour before Dunn's release,  the Missouri Supreme Court overruled the lower court and ordered Dunn to remain in custody.

Sengheiser called Attorney General Andrew Bailey's opposition to Dunn's release an affront to the rule of law.

Attorneys in the A-G's office contend the Missouri Court of Appeals, not Judge Sengheiser, have the authority to halt their appeal and until there is a ruling, Dunn should remain in prison.
