    Trump VP running mate J.D. Vance visits St. Louis area on Friday

    ST. LOUIS – J.D. Vance, the vice president running mate of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, visited the St. Louis-area on Friday.

    A group known as the St. Clair County Republican Party, based in the Metro East, organized a breakfast fundraiser event for Vance.

    Event location and times were not immediately available on the listing, though those details were provided to those who completed an RSVP.

    Vance met with several Missouri politicians during his visit, including U.S. Sen. Eric Schmitt and Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft .

    According to the event listing, the reception had a cost of $3,000 per person. A host committee setup at the event cost $100,000 per couple.

    Vance has served as an Ohio U.S. senator since 2023. He also has experience in the Marines and has previously graduated from Yale Law School.
