Quadruple shooting outside restaurant on Gravois, 1 dead

ST. LOUIS – One person is dead after four people were shot outside a restaurant in south St. Louis Sunday night.

Police say the shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. in the parking lot of Sam’s Southern Eatery, located on the 3500 block of Gravois in the Tower Grove East neighborhood.

According to information from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s social media, three people were initially reported to have been shot.

Police say a woman died, a man was injured, and another man had non-critical injuries. The police later posted on X that there was a fourth victim who went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand.

Investigators say that all three survivors are in stable condition

The police were focusing on a grey Audi at the scene. There were at least 20 evidence markers at the scene, indicating possible shell casings.

District 3 officers and now homicide detectives are investigating. There’s a Schnucks grocery store across the street from the restaurant, an auto parts store, and a gas station where those shots were fired Sunday night.

Police say no arrests have been made. There is no information at the moment about whether there were any suspects or whether they knew the victims.
