ST. LOUIS – A mail carrier was robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon in St. Louis’ Kingsway West neighborhood.

According to a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson, the hold-up took place around 12:45 p.m. near the intersection of Norwood and Lexington avenues.

The mail carrier told police a pedestrian waved him down to ask for a change of address form. When the mail carrier went to get the man a form, he pulled out a pistol and yanked the mail carrier to the floor.

The armed man stole the mail carrier’s property and ran off. The victim was not injured.

Anyone with information on the robbery who wants to remain anonymous or is interested in a cash reward should call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477.
