County Approves Multiple County Schools Requests To Use Their Portion Of Educational Tax Funds

Charles Cottrell
Charles Cottrell, 93, of Shawnee, OK, passed away on Saturday, June 29, at the Primrose Retirement Community. Charles was born on February 5, 1931 in Okmulgee, OK to Lillard and Dovie (Evans) Cottrell. He graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1950. He met Theralene Roork in high school and they were married on October 5, 1951 in Okmulgee, OK. Charles worked for East Central Rural Electric in Okmulgee for 42 years.
Canes Host Ada A's, Record Red River Amateur Baseball League Victory
The Fergus Falls Hurricanes hosted the Ada A’s in a Red River Amateur Baseball League contest on Sunday night at American Legion Field at DeLagoon Park and the Canes came away with a 7-4 victory. Each team collected 10 hits the game. Alex Hexum (6IP, 5K, 1BB, 5H, 3R, 2ER) earned the victory and Carter Thielke (3IP, 0K, 0BB, 5H, 1ER) picked up the save.
Plan to redesign Stadium Drive in Ada
ADA, Okla. (KTEN) — Ada city staff are planning to make major changes to Stadium Drive on the city's east side. "Currently the water line runs underneath the roadway, so any time there's a break, it causes impact to traffic,” city engineer project manager Shelly Williams said. “Plus, it's just a high-pressure line and aging infrastructure. It needs to be replaced anyway."
