Water restrictions have been lifted in Purcell after residents in the area went days without service. A statement on the city’s website says crews repaired five water line leaks in the rural water district west of town by Friday, but restrictions remained in place over the weekend to allow water tower levels, particularly for the one west of town, to recover.

Ronald Keith Hardwick passed away Monday, July 1st, 2024, at the age 68. Ronald was born August 24, 1955 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Emery Doyle Hardwick and Shirley (Yarberry) Hardwick. Ronald graduated from Moss High School. He worked as an Equipment Operator on the Pipeline. Ronald was a member of the Harvest Time Church in Holdenville. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson, fishing and Chevrolet trucks.
Hubert Earl Campbell
Hubert Earl Campbell, 89, formerly of Madill, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, in Durant. Earl, the son of Thomas and Opal (Zelda) Campbell, was born on Halloween, October 31, 1934, in Hobart. Earl proudly served in the US Army. After leaving the army, he attended East Central University in Ada, Okla., where he completed his master’s degree. On July 13, 1957, he married Carolyn Case, in Seminole. Earl briefly taught school at Strother’s High School, before starting his 27-year career teaching Industrial Arts at Seminole High School.
