Wanted Felon Captured After Seven-Hour Standoff in Quincy
QUINCY — A seven-hour standoff between law enforcement and a wanted felon ended early Saturday morning with the successful capture of 40-year-old Juan Blancas of Quincy. Blancas, who was wanted on outstanding felony warrants, was apprehended after refusing to surrender to Grant County deputies. The incident began at approximately 12:05 a.m. when Blancas, who had been spotted driving past a deputy, fled to a residence at 424 K-St SW in Quincy. He then ran inside the home and declined to come out despite repeated attempts by deputies to negotiate his surrender.
