Jacksonville Jaguars sue former employee who stole millions for $66.6M in damages
The Jacksonville Jaguars are suing their former employee who stole $22 million from the franchise, according to a report from Xuan Thai of ESPN. The lawsuit was filed in Florida state court on Thursday for $66.6 million in damages. Amit Patel, who oversaw the team’s virtual credit card program, plead guilty in federal court in December to stealing more than $22 million from the team during a 3.5-year period. He used the money to pay off gambling debts and to live an expensive lifestyle.
