Sweet corn stand says partial closure of Douglas Avenue could impact sales
URBANDALE, Iowa — A local sweet corn stand says it's worried about how it will attract new customers once a part ofDouglas Avenue closes for construction Monday morning. The Tornado to be named a Landmark Coaster
ALTOONA, Iowa — Adventureland’s Tornado roller coaster will be named a landmark coaster by the American Coaster Enthusiasts. The organization will present the Altoona theme park with its landmark plaque on August 17, when the park hosts the American Coaster Enthusiasts’ national Preservation Conference. Drunken Booneville man allegedly assaults, harasses deputies
A Booneville man was arrested Saturday evening after appearing drunk in public and allegedly proceeding to harass and assault law enforcement officers. Ryan Ross Haugen, 40, of 35598 Walnut St., Booneville, was charged with public intoxication, assault on persons in certain occupations, harassment of public official or employee and interference with official acts.
