School will be starting up before you know it. If your kiddos need to get a nice haircut before they go back to school, you're in luck!. Summer break is nearing its end. It feels like just yesterday, the kiddos were getting out of school and eager to take advantage of summer. In about a month's time, kids will be returning to school. That means now is the time when parents are planning out their back-to-school shopping lists. Clothes, shoes, and school supplies don't come cheap, especially for those who have multiple children. Some families cannot afford all of the required school supplies. Throw in new clothes for school because they outgrew their clothes from last year, which can put many in a bind...especially with the way the economy has been. Museum Hosts 5th Annual Car Show August 11
The Dubois County Museum will host their 5 th Annual Car Show on Sunday, August 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the museum at 2704 N. Newton Street in Jasper, IN. The show will be held in the shady area and parking lot behind the museum. It will be held rain or shine. Registration is from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Ronald Eugene Holsclaw
Ronald Eugene Holsclaw, 82, of Tell City, Indiana passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Louisville native was born Aug. 3, 1941, to the late John Holsclaw and Dorothy Hurley Holsclaw. Ron graduated from Shawnee High School, class of 1960. He was a retiree of The National Asbestos Workers Union as an Insulator. He loved to travel. His favorite part of the USA was the American West. Ron enjoyed a good meal, especially at the Riverview Restaurant on the Ohio River, dancing and classic cars. He was a generous man with a sense of humor.
