John K. Robertson, 90 of Hope passed away Friday July 12, 2024 at Columbus Regional Health. Born September 26, 1933 in Hope he was the son of Ward and Jomyla Bruner Robertson. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Shirley M. Robertson. Sons, Skip (Cathy) Robertson of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Steve (Lori) Robertson of Hope, Indiana. Grandchildren, Megan Ripley (Troy) of Summerville, South Carolina, Matt (Alycia) Robertson of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Stephanie Robertson Bowman of Randleman, North Carolina, and Brad (Ronni) Robertson of Columbus, Indiana. Council to consider annexation for developers
City officials on Tuesday will begin considering a request for annexation of property that includes a number of parcels owned by those who are are opposed to the annexation. The applicants indicated they are planning a residential development on just a portion of the land involved in the annexation. The matter had stalled for a few months, but is on the Columbus City Council agenda for this week.
