C. Dale Waltz
C. Dale Waltz, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on July 17, 2024 at his home in Trafalgar with his family by his side. Dale was born January 13, 1931 at Atterbury, to his parents, the late James Leslie and Lena (Coy) Waltz. He was a 1949 graduate of Trafalgar High School and went on to serve as a Corporal with the 370th Engineer Company of the United States Army during the Korean War. Dale was honorably discharged on May 21, 1953 after returning from Baumholder, Germany. He retired in 1991 from Design Printing in Indianapolis where he worked as a Bindery Man. Prior to that, Dale held the same position at Progressive Printing in Indianapolis and Rexham Printing in Edinburgh. After retirement he worked for G R Smith &Son Contracting in Trafalgar. Dale also worked on his family farm raising cattle, pigs, chickens, corn and soybeans.

One person dead after accident on U.S. 31 at County Road 800N
One person was killed in a collision on southbound U.S. 31 near the Indiana Premium Outlets Thursday. Two dark-colored pickup trucks were involved in the 12:11 p.m. crash, just south of County Road 800N. Traffic on both northbound and southbound lanes were rerouted onto Executive Way and Presidential Lane to 800N while first responders were on the scene.

Officer Injured in Struggle with DUI Suspect in North Vernon
NORTH VERNON, Ind. – On Thursday, July 18, at 8:15 PM, Officer Nathan Vogel from the North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) stopped a white Chrysler 300 for speeding on the 800 block of S State St. The driver, Andy L. Driver, 19, crashes, dies while allegedly fleeing traffic stop
BUENA VISTA — A South Jersey teenager died in a crash after he allegedly fled a traffic stop here, police say. Thomas Burch, 19, of Millville drove away after an attempted stop by Franklin Township police on County Route 655.
