Flo Ann Boyd, 93, of Columbus went home to her heavenly father on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 12:35 a.m. at GreenTree at Westwood. Mrs. Boyd was born February 11, 1931, in Columbus, the daughter of Harry and Mary Ahlbrand Abbett. On February 25, 1950, she married Charles E. Boyd.

Five cheerleaders attend UCA Camp
Five Connersville Lady Spartan cheerleaders earned All-American status at the 2024 Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) camp at IU Bloomington last week. Olivia Becker, Lexi Gibson, Christian Laboyteaux, and Jocelyn Turney earned All-American status for the varsity team with Bella Mitchell being named JV All-American. The CHS varsity team took first-place in the Cheer Division, second in Stunt Sequence and in camp routine/pyramid and earned a specialty trophy for Best Transition. The JV Lady Spartans placed first for their camp routine/pyramid, and camp dance.

CRH Foundation to pause VIMCare Benefit Raffle, plans Impact and Gratitude Expo
The Columbus Regional Health (CRH) Foundation announced it will pause hosting its annual VIMCare Benefit Dinner & Raffle fundraiser. In place of the event, CRH Foundation will host a new Impact and Gratitude Expo on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the CRH promenade at Nexus Park. The Expo will offer the community an opportunity to learn firsthand the breadth and depth of the foundation’s support of hospital and community health initiatives.
