Federal prosecutors have announced charges against five people who allegedly bribed a juror in the first round of the Feeding Our Future fraud case.

This comes after a woman with a bag of $120,000 in cash attempted to bribe juror 52 to sway how they cast their ballot.

New documents show that that juror was stalked in the days leading up to the bribery attempt by three feeding our future defendants and their two accomplices.

US attorney Andy Luger called the case “a chilling attack on the justice system.”

“You can make all the arguments that a court will allow you to make, and I honor lawyers to do that,” Luger said. “What you can’t do is corrupt a jury, and you can’t tell a juror, ‘You alone can end this case.’”

Four of the five suspects facing charges are now in custody.

Three are expected to make their first court appearance in Saint Paul on Wednesday.
