The Minnesota Wild have reportedly signed former Gopher forward Travis Boyd to a two-way contract, according to The Athletic's Michael Russo.

Boyd, a Hopkins native, spent the past three seasons with the Arizona Coyotes. He registered 77 points, 34 goals and 43 assists, in 172 games for Arizona over three seasons. Before joining the Coyotes, Boyd spent parts of four seasons with the Washington Capitals, Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks.

In four seasons at the University of Minnesota, Boyd scored 76 points, 22 goals and 54 assists. He was a sixth-round selection by the Capitals in the 2011 NHL Draft.

In addition to Boyd, the Wild have also reportedly agreed to a two-way deal with veteran forward Devin Shore . The 29-year-old is coming off a season with Seattle in which he scored one goal and added three assists in 21 games.

Shore was a second-round pick by Dallas in the 2012 NHL Draft. Since first appearing in the league during the 2015-16 season, Shore has played in 443 games, registering 139 points - 51 goals and 88 assists - for Dallas, Anaheim, Columbus, Edmonton and Seattle.

Boyd and Shore weren't the only forward additions for Minnesota on the opening day of Free Agency. The Wild inked a four-year, $14 million deal with penalty-killing forward Yakov Tenin earlier Monday.
