Originally from Maple Grove and a University of Minnesota alum, the local native is staying true to his roots with a long-term deal that keeps him home for several years. Brock Faber will stay with the Minnesota Wild for the long haul, earning $8.5 million per year. The extension will keep Faber in Minnesota through at least the 2033 season.

After making a huge impact during his first full season with the Wild, Faber’s new contract reflects the team’s commitment to his future.

Drafted 45th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in 2020, Brock Faber was later traded to the Minnesota Wild. His arrival came as part of the Kevin Fiala deal. After finishing his college career with the Gophers, he quickly made a noticeable impact in his NHL debut with the Wild.

Faber played all 82 games last season, demonstrating impressive durability. He racked up 47 points, including 8 goals and 39 assists. Now, he’s being rewarded, showing the Wild want him to be a part of their core for years to come.
