While in the mainstream, Jesse Ventura is best known for being the 38th Governor of Minnesota and appearing in major movies like “Predator” and “The Running Man,” wrestling fans still remember him best for his time with WWE and WCW. Yet, the WWE Hall of Famer has had very little to do with the business in recent years, and it is very well known that he and Vince McMahon had a prickly relationship.

However, with McMahon now out of power, it was reported three months ago Ventura was in talks over a potential Legends contract. And now, seemingly confirming that a deal was reached, he was in attendance during this week’s Raw taping in St. Paul, Minnesota, and after the show would take to X to say, “ Looks like hell froze over… again, ” likening his unexpected return to that of CM Punk’s.

73-year-old Ventura broke into the business in 1975 after six years in the Navy and would notably work for Central States Wrestling, Pacific Northwest Wrestling, and New Japan. Yet, it was his WWE career that saw him elevated to another level, with him sharing a ring with legendary names, including Pedro Morales, Andre The Giant, Randy Savage, The Junkyard Dog, and Hulk Hogan.

Sadly, his in-ring career would effectively end when blood clots in his lungs stopped him from regularly competing, although he easily transitioned into a commentary role, providing color commentary for the first six WrestleMania’s before moving to WCW for two years.
