Phillips shipping container fire under investigation
PHILLIPS, Neb. (KSNB) - Fire officials are investigating what caused a fire in a shipping container at a business near Highway 34 south of Phillips Thursday morning. Emergency radio traffic indicated that the fire started sometime after 10 a.m. Initial reports indicated a large fire with thick black smoke. But fire crews from Phillips, Giltner and Aurora were able to put it out by about 10:40 a.m. The fire was located at TC Machine, a company that manufactures a wide range of agricultural equipment.
