Nebraska Attorney General’s office announces two settlements in Delta 8 cases
Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers announced the first two settlements in his statewide campaign in opposition to the Delta 8 retail market in Nebraska. A press release stated the first settlement was with High Flow Cannabis, Stewart Scott Ritter, and Alejandro Castro, who were selling THC hemp products in Grand Island. The second was with Ms. Vape Shop and Lisa Lomack, who were selling THC hemp products in Crete.
Grand Island City Council votes to redesignate land behind Sam’s Club for duplex living
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to redistrict land behind Sam’s Club for high density living. The land was previously zoned for low density living. Allowing the change will allow a developer to build many of duplexes and townhomes on the lot to ease the housing shortage in Grand Island.

KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Experts are urging men in the month of June to look for signs that can point to mental health concerns. June is National Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Five Submit their Names for District Court Judge in the Tenth Judicial District
LINCOLN – Melodie T. Bellamy, Kearney; Matthew C. Boyle, Grand Island; Dale T. Callahan, Hastings; Timothy E. Hoeft, Holdrege; and John A. Sauder, Holdrege, have submitted applications for appointment as District Court Judge in the 10th Judicial District consisting of Adams, Clay, Franklin, Harlan, Kearney, Nuckolls, Phelps, and Webster counties. The primary place of office for the judicial vacancy shall be either Hastings, Adams County, Nebraska; Minden, Kearney County, Nebraska; or Holdrege, Phelps County, Nebraska, at the option of the appointed judge. The vacancy is due to the retirement of Judge Terri S. Harder.
Legion Baseball: Columbus Defeats Grand Island Wednesday Night
(Grand Island, NE) - The second comeback for Grand Island Home Federal on Wednesday night at Ryder Park fell just short falling to Columbus Cornerstone Insurance by a final score of 12-11 in 12 innings. It's the second time in little over a week that GI has played an extra-inning game. Last Tuesday Home Federal fell at Kearney in 14 innings 3-2. In the game vs Columbus, GI trailed early 5-1 after three and a half innings. GI would start the rally scoring one run in the bottom of the fourth. One more run in the bottom in the fifth which then made it 5-3 Columbus after five innings. A scoreless sixth would then take the game to the final inning of regulation with Columbus scoring one run to make it a 6-3 game.
